aori works as an illustrator/animator. She mainly makes animations for videos of nursery rhymes.
She started to make frame-by-frame animations in watercolor paintings in 2022 since it is always what she wanted to do and loves to do. During the pandemic, staying-home-time helped her to be more serious about putting herself into what she really wanted to do in life.
Her goal is to make artworks evoking simply good feelings by viewing.
She was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Expression by creating has been her essential tool to express things hard to verbalize since she was very small.
Although she thinks clear verbalization is extremely important in the United States compared to her home country, visual expression is still universal and very effective to communicate.
She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BFA and lives in Bay Area. Currently, she is planning to proceed to MFA as she always likes to learn.
